The Constructivists invite actors to audition for BUG by Tracy Letts.
Agnes has already been cast. We are seeking non-union actors for all other roles. This is a paid opportunity.
Characters:
Peter Evans — Male presenting, late 20s, any ethnicity. A drifter and Gulf War veteran.
R.C. (Ronnie) — Female presenting, middle-aged, any ethnicity. Agnes’s best friend.
Jerry Goss — Male presenting, middle-aged, any ethnicity. Agnes’s ex-husband.
Dr. Sweet — Male presenting, middle-aged, any ethnicity. Psychiatrist.

What to prepare
A 1 minute contemporary monologue (preferably dark comedy, dramedy, or drama)
You may also be asked to read from the script
What to Expect:
Actors should be comfortable exploring intense emotional and psychological material.
BUG contains mature themes including paranoia, delusion, violence, sex, and substance abuse.
Rehearsals will begin February 24, 2026, on a Monday-Thursday evening, Saturday daytime schedule. The production will run April 25–May 9, 2026, Thursdays-Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 4pm, in the Studio Theater of the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, Milwaukee WI.
