The Constructivists S7!

We are thrilled to announce
Season Seven!

IN THE CANYON kicks off the season with a gripping narrative that explores the profound impacts of societal change. Under the direction of Jaimelyn Gray, this play will captivate audiences with its intense storytelling that explores the lives of its characters over several decades, from 2007 to 2067, as they navigate personal and societal upheavals. The play is a poignant reflection on resilience, community, and the ever-changing landscape of America.

It's coming back to jingle your bells this holiday season! From the mind of Jaimelyn Gray: A dark and funny Holiday Special. A VERY DEADLY CONSTRUCTIVISTS HOLIDAY features real news stories of humans behaving badly (in a seven deadly sins kind of way). All the holiday songs you know and love blended with lyrics that will make Grandma clutch her pearls. You've never heard Christmas cheer like this before. “Deadly Holiday” is meant to make you laugh at we humans being so angry, lustful, prideful, gluttonous, lazy, envious, and greedy during the holidays, but you’ll (hopefully) leave wanting to not be those assholes.

Set in the mountains of Connemara, County Galway, THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE tells the darkly comic tale of Maureen Folan, a plain and lonely woman in her early forties, and Mag, her manipulative aging mother, whose interference in Maureen’s first and possibly final chance of a loving relationship sets in motion a train of events that leads inexorably towards the play’s terrifying dénouement. Winner of the 1998 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Play. (via dramatists.com)

MORE BIG NEWS

This year we'll be back at the Broadway Theatre Center with Skylight Music Theatre and Milwaukee Chamber Theatre at 158 N. Broadway, Milwaukee. We're very excited to be moving back to the Third Ward and hope to see you there!

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Unfortunately, our annual fundraiser fell short of what we were hoping to bring in with a fun and fantastic party. This season is a big season. Big plays. Big location. And it's the first time we'll be attempting three productions in a season. We're growing in hopes to bring you more excellent dark and funny art more often. But we can't do it without you.

We need to raise $10,000 by October 1st in order to make half of our work happen, and we're curently about 60% there. Can you help?
