A theatermaker and musician, Ben Yela (he/him) co-founded 1419, an interdisciplinary arts collective, in Minneapolis at the beginning of the 2010s. He then moved to Milwaukee in September 2012, becoming a founding member of Quasimondo Physical Theatre. Since, he has worked with several other Wisconsin companies as a performer, stage manager, and technician, including Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Skylight Music Theatre, Theatre Gigante, Cooperative Performance, Danceworks, Optimist Theatre, Door Shakespeare, Music Theatre of Madison and others. This is his third production performing with the constructivists.
Matthew Scales (he/him) received his Bachelors in Theater and Radio/TV/Film at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. He has been working as an actor, improv artist, and stand-up comedian in Milwaukee since 2016. He has worked with The Constructivists on 6 different productions, including THE TOTALITARIANS and THE NETHER, as well as working with Alchemist Theater and Lake Country Playhouse. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two girls, reading, video games and building intricate LEGO sets. Oh, and spending time with his cat. His cat would be mad if he didn’t mention that.
